A TISKET A TASKET QUILT FINISHED

 

Remember a few posts ago I showed you the Tisket a Tasket quilt by Lynda? Here it is quilted and bound laying bunched up on the sewing room floor....(so I could be most of the quilt in the picture)

I love the quilting my friend LeAnn did.

I like to have the wool quilted on. 

She did some fun designs on the wool.

I had one flower left over and couldn't throw it away, so it is a lone flower on the back...poor thing, maybe I should have put a few more so it could be a little garden...next time!

ELECTRONIC TWIST TIES

 Do you know what these are?

They are twist ties for your electronics. They have a rubber coating and bend in all kind of ways!

I bought them at my Version phone store. They are SO fun to use and they keep your electronic wires in check!

SOUP and SAUCE recipe

Jillee over at One Good Thing has a great recipe for a soup and sauce substitute for Cream of Chicken soup. You can also use a white sauce from the old days. She has an amazing blog with amazing ideas. ENJOY.

BASKET QUILT PROGRESS

Here are a few of the blocks from the basket quilt.
All of the applique is done with wool.
I LOVE the juxtaposition of the wool and the cotton together. The top is finished and off to the quilters! We will see the finished project soon!

AQUA TYPEWRITER

I have been looking for an aqua typewriter for a couple of years. I keep looking at them on ebay....and think "I don't want to pay the shipping and you never know how well it works".......so I have had my daughters on the look-out for one. Friday my daughter called and said there was one for sale on a blog, and the woman lived just 17 miles from me. I called and went to see it on Saturday....and bought it! HOORAY! It works PERFECTLY, how lucky can I be? I know it is a crazy thing, but I really wanted one. My grandchildren won't even know what the thing is.
