MACHINE QUILTING

These are images of a quilt I am working on.

I wanted to show you the beautiful quilting done by Susan Hansen of Suzy Q's Quilts. So pretty! I often think a quilt top is "nice" when you finish sewing, but it becomes "beautiful or wonderful" after it is quilted.

FAIRY PEOPLE

Margaret makes these "oh so sweet fairy people" and shows you how to make them. I found her by way of The Crafty Crow...you know how I love that site. So many talented and cheerful people. Find her Here. Since we don't have sunshine, we will have rain and rainbow fairy people instead! I am going to town to buy some daffodils...my friend said there were some in the grocery store!

JUNK DOLL

I saw these dolls a little while back and LOVED them. There are so many I would love to have. They are made by Paul. People are so brilliant!

He uses old tins for the bodies.

Each doll has a little "skirt." Mine is the rhinestone piece.... love that! Love her paintbrush legs. Some have old spoons for legs, or old wooden measuring tapes. So fun!

They have porcelain heads, many from Germany. It took me months to decide which one to get.

NEW CUTRAINS

Remember the 54" fabric I bought a few weeks ago for $3.00 a yard?

Here is what it has become. I got the blue and also the sheer for the same price.

I love a good deal...thank goodness no one else thought the fabric was great!

SOMETHING TO BE HAPPY ABOUT

I received these pictures in an email today from a friend.

They were taken in South Dakota, January 2011.

It's more than enough to make me be happy to live where I live!

This much snow makes be feel short of breath...I would surely go crazy if I had to deal with that everyday for a few months.....like someone said, "It doesn't take much looking around to find someone (someplace) worse off than yourself."

"THAT" KIND OF DAY

We are still getting snow....this is what I am wearing today.....it "THAT" kind of day! I have my rowdy music up loud....to "concert" levels-- blasting the bleak day away! Boy do I feel better! Hope your day is sunny!
