GIRLS

For those of you who know my family and did not have a chance to see them when they were home....here are a few pictures of my girls....sorry they are washed out... I couldn't get my point and shoot figured out, and you know that babies are not always cooperative.Look at those cheeks!
So fun to have all of them home!

DOORS

Take Home A Smile
Edgar A. Guest

Take home a smile; forget the petty cares,
The dull, grim grind of all the day's affairs;
The day is done, come be yourself awhile:
To-night, to those who wait, take home a smile.

Take home a smile; don't scatter grief and gloom
Where laughter and light hearts should always bloom;
What though you've traveled many a dusty mile,
Footsore and weary, still take home a smile.

Take home a smile -- it is not much to do,
But much it means to them who wait for you;
You can be brave for such a little while;
The day of doubt is done -- take home a smile.

FIRST DAY OF AUTUMN

Today is the first day of Autumn. I love autumn.....Jodi's orange quilt has inspired me. I have never made or owned an orange quilt.....so because of this cute post, I think I will make myself a small orange quilt.

LOOK AT THE WORLD AROUND YOU

I was looking at a guys blog who lives in a big city and had really fun pictures of places around his area. I wondered if I had anything interesting to photograph.....so I drove around our rural farm commumity and found some interesting things. I also found these very nice words. Live in the sunshine.
Swim in the sea.
Drink the wild air.

MAYBE I WILL SEW

My house is deathly quiet. It was SO much fun to have my children and grandchildren at my house for 2 weeks.
I noticed when my youngest daughter left home years ago, not only are they gone physically, but there is no TV, music, showers, or friends.
It feels like that today, so now I must find things to keep myself company. Thank goodness I bought peaches on my way back from the airport. I can look forward to peach jam, and maybe I will sew!

BLISS

Remember in May when I told you that Bonnie and Camille's new fabric Bliss would be available in September? Well, it is September! Look for it in your stores because it is SO beautiful! Go to Cotton Way and see all her darling new patterns!

I love these ironing board covers. Wouldn't they make the best Christmas gifts? What sewing friend doesn't need a new ironing board cover?
