VELCRO

What would we do in our world today without Velcro and what does that have to do with my post today? Well, there is a vast amount of Velcro on the ankle braces I am wearing since I sprained BOTH of my ankles last Sunday! I tripped down 3 stairs...OH BROTHER! However, I have been laying around, eating chocolates, watching HGTV, TCM and AMC movies....doing hand work and crocheting. Oh the life! I finally made my husband go get me a wheelchair so I could get around the house. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day -Saints partners with other world charities and distributes wheelchairs around the world. I have a greater appreciation for how that changes lives, giving people freedom and mobility....the idea of being bed ridden is so awful.

However, I am on the mend and have shed the wheelchair. I am now on crutches since I can put weight on my right foot......I am making steady progress! Good thing I don't have anything on my calendar for the next two weeks! Note to self: Be careful, act your age, go slower down stairs and hold onto the hand railing! My feelings on the whole issue? Quoting Charlie Brown; "GOOD GRIEF!"

Oh dear..hope you heal very soon. Please show all of the crocheting projects! My goal--when we retire a house with NO stairs, please. I've fallen down ours, twice.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I hope you are up and about soon; although, having a chance to sit and do handwork, read, watch tv and eat chocolate appeals to me. ;)

Get better quickly! I like the well manicured toes. If you have to put your feet up for long periods of time then they should look pretty. :D

Oh no...hope you get better quick...and at least your toes look good. At least you have handwork to keep you busy...I wonder what people do who don't love to do handwork and have to be laid up for awhile.

Oh, I am so sorry! It makes for a good story (later) though, right?! It is crazy that you hurt both of them! Hmmm. I'd like to watch some HGTV. Maybe if I was bed ridden I could convince my husband that we need some decorating tv channels to get me through. Hmmm.
I hope you get walking soon and without too much trouble! If you need a good book, send your husband to the library to check out Tisha. Oh, it is SOOO good! Romantic, adventurous, suspenseful and all true. My favorite book of all time. It's the story of a young girl's teaching adventures in Alaska years ago. Seriously, I loved Twilight but this one is true and so much better!

So sorry to hear that. Did you get the crystals for the lamp? I sent them a week ago.
