BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS

I like to eat breakfast with my pretty dishes! I am usually the only one at the breakfast table in the morning and I feel like I am "worth it!" I love to see the pretty motifs in the bottom of the bowl as the hot cereal slowly goes down.....I also like to read a magazine while I eat...and I LOVE to drink orange juice in the prettiest glasses I own! Funny, I had to eat hot cereal everyday of my childhood life. I didn't care for it much then, but now that I am older and wiser, I love it! What do you do for yourself for breakfast? I think I shall have a "GIVE A WAY" of two pretty bowls for your breakfast; what do you think about that? Leave a comment and share your breakfast rituals! I probably won't be able to afford to ship internationally with glass bowls, but you ladies go buy yourself one pretty bowl and celebrate too....because you are WORTH IT!!

I'm with you....the serving utensils make everything taste better. I hate eating breakfast, but make myself do it. It usually consists of fresh squeezed juice, a banana and a slice of oat/hazelnut taost or oatmeal with pecans and cranberries in it. All of that is AFTER my three cups of black decaf coffee!!!!

I have some really pretty glasses that I use all the time. I have a soy shake for breakfast most mornings. It's quick and healthy and I don't even have to think about it. Thanks for the giveaway! :0)

Most mornings are such a whirlwind of "Get your coat on." "Is THAT what you're wearing?" "Do you have your snack?" "You know, if you'd put your shoes in the same place every day you'd have a much easier time finding them when you need to leave." And "I love you!" that it is really a treat when I get to take a me-moment to channel my feelings toward a bowl of breakfast-y goodness (which, for me, MUST happen every day--or watch out world grouchy mother on the loose).

I love how you said that. From now on I am using some pretty dishes I have been "saving" for something special. But I am special too. I should have learned this after my mother passed away suddenly 2 years ago. She was the kind that saved her good things for company. Tomorrow I will have my juice in a beautiful crystal wine glass. Thank you!

What a lovely idea, Sheri! I never used to eat breakfast, but after 40 started gaining weight, and realized that if I eat a bowl of Cheerios in the morning it keeps my weight down. I bet it would get my metabolism going faster if I had a pretty bowl, lol! BTW, I read while I eat too - always have - grew up with everyone reading at the dinner table!

You are right. Pretty dishes are so delightful. I eat mostly "brunch". It can be a half of a bagel with cream cheese, or a bowl of homemade granola, or a bowl of Cherrios :-) I usually have one cup of decaf coffee, or a cup of hot tea. Thanks for such a great giveaway idea :-)

Breakfast ritual equals chai tea and oatmeal and some kind of fruit! I had oatmeal every morning when I went to work too, just after I got to work!! Love retirement!

Breakfast at my house consists of what Gavin refers to as "Jam toast" cut into shapes with cookie cutters. I've been eating oatmeal and Bella likes it but not Gavin. Usually we end up all needing a bath/shower since pancakes and syrup or oatmeal is messy! Breakfast with toddlers is always an adventure!

You are too cute! I have boring white dishes! That I HATE! I just never quite have the money to buy cute ones! I will cross my fingers that I win! BUT when the stars are aligned I manage to read scriptures while my children eat in the morning! Their mouthes and hands are busy!!

Boring white dishes filled with yummy Heart to Heart cereal and blueberries, is my breakfast. It would probably taste even better eaten from a pretty new bowl!

We are a cold cereal family! I bet I can count on my two hands how many times we have had a hot breakfast. We usually do pancakes, etc. for dinner meals instead.
Anya, the one year old, will usually get a banana and/or toast too.
And the bowls we use are the ones someone gave us for our wedding 9 years ago. Except for the kids, who get to pick blue, green, red or orange plastic!
