WINTER ENTERTAINMENT

Most winters we put a puzzle on to help keep us entertained during these long cold nights. We usually do one that has 1000 pieces.
This is what it is suppose to look like...it was just about as difficult as any we have done. Does anyone do puzzles anymore?

We still do puzzles! We just did one last month! My problem is I can't leave it alone until it's done so nothing else gets done while there's a puzzle out!

I haven't done one in a while. It was a favorite pastime of me and my grandmother when we stayed at the lakehouse during the summer months. She did them until she passed away almost 4 years ago. Seeing them just makes me think of her.

We used to buy them from Hallmark. Spools of Thread, crayons, and thimbles were the hardest since they were essentially just thrown into piles. The tougher they were the better we liked them.

We would love to do puzzles, but the Green-bean and the Peanut like to eat the puzzle pieces, so we settle for 24 piece puzzles that they can do!

I did one a few months ago...someplace online. I can't remember where, but I do remember it took me 20 minutes to finish one, and then I did a second one and thought, "OMG! This stuff is addictive! I need to get off this website!" and I never looked back. I was on that website for almost an hour and I didn't even realize it until I finished the second puzzle. Who knew they were so much fun? LOL!

Puzzles were the one thing that Dad enjoyed in his last days on earth! We had one going with him all the time for the last six months or so. I think he's acing a 3000 piece one right now in Heaven!
