This is a close up of my new table topper/wall hanging soon to be published in Quick Quilts #111 due out Feb. 23, 2010. I really have been sewing....just thought I would show you what I have been up to lately. Plus I am working on a quilt for my son's 30th birthday but I can't show it yet...I don't think he reads my blog, but one can never tell! edit:Brenda asked a good question about what thread I use so the button hole stitches don't show. I like the YLI brand of monofilament thread because it is thin, and my machine likes it. It works well in most machines because it is so thin. The thread comes in two colors, clear and smoke, although the smoke looks pretty dark but it isn't. You may have to loosen the tension a bit.

Love the spring table topper. I'm ready for spring fabrics and projects...but want to keep our cooler weather for awhile!
