I don't know why, but I love the attention to detail these old brick buildings have. I love to look at them.
It makes me feel so happy that someone...most likely a man....took this much time to make a building look pretty.

Those are great - I love to look at them too! I'm reminded of a cathedral in Europe, don't remember which one, where inside the wall where no one would see, the builder carved a beautiful bird. When asked why, since no one would see it, he replied, God will see.

I have a fondness for old buildings and houses and it makes me so happy when someone fixes them up and takes care of them. Charming building!
Old brick buildings are so beautiful! And now that you mention it, that is surprising that men would take time for those visual details!
This building reminds of a building which was the city hall in a town that I used to live in. Very neat.
I love looking at architecture too - art deco is always interesting too. You never know where inspiration for that next quilt will come from!
