IN SEARCH OF A NEW COUCH

IKEA has several that I like.
Sorry, I couldn't get these pictures any smaller!!!!!!!!
Or any larger for that matter!
I am drawn to the rounded arms, and pillow backs.....I hope I can find something similar to one of these at a local store for less than IKEA! I have an olive green couch that I like, I wish you could just paint it...you know me and paint...I probably have enough to do the job. Okay, I won't paint it....so it's off to shopping.... Hooray, something to shop for!

I have a picture torn out of a catalog of the couch I want - it's very modern retro, if that makes sense - it was also about $6,000. Yikes. Hope you find something you like!

Ikea's got some neat stuff.
I bet you could make a slip cover for that couch.

Yes, if you could make a slipcover, then I would go with the rounded, comfortable arms.
Good luck!

What about re-covering? I recently re-covered my couches and made "Patchwork couches". Much fun!!

In any case, happy shopping.

I like the idea of painting it! :)

Your green couch would look great in your downstairs family room. You know recycle is always a good idea.

You absolutly can paint it. I have friends who had their old sofa recovered in white canvas and then every few years they repainted it. It was fantastic!

You're a nut! OK, but I do like the paint idea, hahaha! Tie dye anyone? LOL!
I have an itsy bitsy teenie weenie home and when I shop for furniture very inch counts. I had big rounded arms on my first couch and then I realized I had a lot of couch and little seating...now that was a mistake. Live and learn, less arms, more tushy space is what I say! LOL!
Have fun in your quest for he perfect couch. I love shopping for furniture; it's so challenging to get something beautiful in a miniature size, hahaha!

FYI, I had a roommate that had the couch from IKEA with the slipcover on it(I think the 3rd pic down...), and the slipcover CONSTANTLY got out of whack. It would pull up the back, showing the bottom of the couch(not a big deal if against a wall, but if not, not so fun!), and make the cushions slide off the couch. Just wanted to give you a little heads up.
