Okay, I didn't actually buy this book by Penny Haren, it was a give away at her book signing in the Checker booth...(Checker is a HUGE distributing company)...this is the GREATEST book about applique without doing all those curved seams........if you ever wanted to try applique....you MUST get this book!
These next two books are by Edie McGinnis who publishes for Kansas City Star... and writes on their blog. She has a lot of really interesting information in her book which makes for good reading......along with great pictures...(I have a lot of her books...don't tell!)
This one by Edie is just about the most darling book about quilting I have ever seen....I think this cover is so ingenious!!!! I just LOVE it! You can get all of Kansas City Star books on their blog site, Pickledish!
This is Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree Quilts new BEAUTIFUL book.....(I didn't have to buy this one either) United Notions.....a division of MODA ....another HUGE distributing company has their author signing as well.....so I happened over when Joanna was signing and now I have an autographed copy!!! I thought I took a photo of her, but I can't find it....(I probably deleted it accidentally!) Check out her blog....it is beautiful too!
I already told you about Dawn Heese's new book.... but you must hear about it again...I saw the feature quilt hanging up in the Kansas City Star booth.....I meant to take a picture, but I forgot to go back and do it....so you need to get the book....the quilt was SO VERY PRETTY!!!
These ladies, Tammy and Avis...aka: Joined at the Hip are SO HIP!!! I have many of their patterns and books! OOPS, I didn't buy this one either..another United Notions signing...I didn't realize how many signings I went to!! I felt a kinship to the quilt on the front of this book as I have a new pattern coming out soon that has a similar shape!
They were very nice and each signed my book personally!! Thanks ladies!
I mentioned Lizze B Cre8tive's new book when it came out a few months ago and it is still SO GREAT! Get yours from Kansas City Star!!! Oh, and check out their blog....their booth won MOST CREATIVE AGAIN! Two years in a row!!! Good going you girls! It really was a darling booth!
I really love to work with wool. I love the texture. This is a new book by Marilyn Gash put out by Indygo Junction. If you like to do small wool projects, you will like to do these! I can hardly wait to start!
You MUST get this calendar! Mrs. Bobbins is so hilarious!!! She does some pretty funny things with her sewing!!! Order it from Kansas City Star! Click the Mrs. Bobbins on the site and see what she is up to! I love her at the beach!

And my dear friend Bonnie Olaveson of Cotton Way GAVE me her new patterns! Boy do I have great friends! The Baking Day part two is a GREAT way to do a fast little quilt...then use it as hot pads in your kitchen.....So FUN! ~~Now one thing more, DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THIS MANY BOOKS WEIGH? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I HAD TO PAY BECAUSE MY LUGGAGE WAS OVERWEIGHT? It was worth it!!!

Wow...wonderful books and patterns...and so many free...sounds like the book signings are the way to go! I just saw that Joined at the Hip book on another blog yesterday and have already added it my wish list!

Oh Sherri....you made out pretty darned good I'd say....who cares about that additional fee on the luggage! Naturally...I'm envious. It was so nice of you to plug for Dawn's book...it really is a beauty and I try getting word out every opportunity I can for her as well. Man I'd love to get my hands on copies of a few of those patterns....(added to my list). The one book by Joined at the Hip should be delivered today. :-)
