Japaneese Book Binding

I thought I would let you know that I do a few other things besides sewing...not much, but a few! I do not "scrapbook," but I like to do some paper crafts. I have wanted to do this Japanese book binding for some time. So I got on line...all by myself....on You Tube, and found a few videos and made a couple of journal/books. It was pretty fun. Here is the results.

Wow, I love them. I'm a visual person so I need to SEE how to do things! My daughter took a book binding class in college and really loves it.

In answer to my dresden plate heart project...yes, it's my design. I'd love to write a pattern one day but don't know the first thing about it.

beautiful books! I love your sewing projects too. How exciting that you have a book coming out with the Kansas City Star. I'll have to tell my mother, she lives there. My mother-in-law and several of my good friends quilt but I don't, really. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and your sweet comments.

Your books turned out so wonderful! I'd love to try one someday. Hmm. Looks like a good and unique journaling/doodling book. Thanks for showing us yours!
